How to care for your clothing.
You have spent a lot of money on your lovely handmade items, and good quality organic cottons need some TLC to make sure you get the most out if your beautiful new clothing!

HOW DO I WASH JERSEY COTTON INCLUDING ORGANICS?
Do not overheat your garments. Handwashing or a 30 / 40 degree gentle cycle, inside out is recommended.
Be very careful how you dry jersey cotton clothing. It is recommended you hang to dry.
Organic cotton is not treated with finishing chemicals in the same way as standard cotton is, so in high heat over 40 degrees it is possible for the cotton to shrink more than 10%, fade and bobble
WILL THE COLOURS FADE?
Eco-friendly dyes are just as long lasting as the chemical dyes IF they are looked after properly. They will fade if powerful detergents or bleaching agents are used.
Dark colours and black shades, depending on fabric quality can sometimes show signs of fading more quickly than bright colours & lighter shades. But you can prolong your darks by washing them inside out and on low heat.
Because organic cottons do not use chemical color fixatives, please do not mix dark colors with light ones.
When washing prints make sure to turn them inside out.
HOW DURABLE IS ORGANIC COTTON?
Organic cotton is not exposed to the weakening, harsh chemicals that commercially grown cotton is, therefore organic cotton will last many years, with proper care.
There are many strong, powerful washing powders and capsules on the market that are full of abrasive chemicals.
These can be hard on delicate inks and dyes. A more gentle non bio detergent will be better for the care of your lovely organic cotton items
SUMMARY:
WASH ON A GENTLE OR COOL 30 DEGREE WASH - 40 DEGREE MAX, WASH INSIDE OUT, WASH DARK COLOURS SEPARATE, DO NOT BLEACH, DRY CLEAN OR TUMBLE DRY, HANG TO AIR DRY.
ALWAYS FOLLOW THE CARE INSTRUCTIONS WHICH ARE PRINTED ON THE REVERSE OF THE MAIN GARMENT LABEL.
PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT LA LA LOOP FABRICS ARE PREWASHED BEFORE SEWING
